CTA 2014

In addition to our Johannesburg CTA program's, we are delighted to announce the launch of our CTA program for the very first time in Pretoria.

Graduate Achievers is an Official UNISA Tuition Centre and has been providing an outstanding CTA Support program to UNISA students since 1994.

Success at CTA level has become an increasingly demanding challenge and with over nineteen years of lecturing experience, Graduate Achievers has developed a reputation of providing a CTA support program that is geared for success

Our approach is results orientated and is evidenced by our exceptional results over the last 10 years:

In each of the last 10 years students attending our part time CTA program were placed amongst UNISA’s top 10 CTA students.

In 2007 3 out of the top 7 CTA students attended our Part Time CTA program.

In 2010 8 out of the top 25 CTA students attended our Part Time CTA program.

In 2011 95 (2010 88) successful UNISA CTA students attended Graduate Achievers.

In 2012 108 successful Level 2 CTA students attended Graduate Achievers.

In 2012 5 out of the top 25 and 19 out of the top 100 CTA students attended Graduate Achievers.

In 2013 7 out of the top 50 CTA students attended Graduate Achievers.

One of the key contributory factors to our success is our ‘limited lecture time’ approach. Passing CTA is about doing lots of work in your own study time. Our weekly lecture and carefully structured program is geared for success provided students work a minimum of 20 hours per week in their own study time.

Our CTA program is carefully structured and includes:

Concise, easy to understand summarised notes to supplement prescribed material.

A carefully structured question bank which includes basic questions aimed at refreshing a student’s previous knowledge of the relevant topic and integrated CTA standard questions.

Structured, organized and easy to understand lecturing.

A weekly study program which guides students on how to optimally use a minimum of 20 hours of study time. This study program in in line with the UNISA study program which allows the student to focus on 1 subject per week.

Twenty weekly tests based on the previous weeks work to be written in class and marked by our marking team with subsequent review and feedback of marked scripts the following week. (Students attending the Saturday class will attempt the tests in class. Students attending other courses will attempt the tests at home.)

A weekly summarised lecture transcript reminding students of the important issues of every lecture.

Continuous guidance on exam technique, strategy and approach and strong on-going motivation to encourage the student to work hard and smart to achieve success.

Nine Simulated Exams to help students prepare for the four UNISA Tuesday Tests and the UNISA final exams in September / October.

Access to the GA student zone where students will be able to download study material, tests, past exams and more.

*Please note that the 4 UNISA tests are no longer going to be written on a Saturday but on a Tuesday. We therefore refer to them as Tuesday tests.

Before committing to any of our courses, we urge students to carefully consider the serious commitment required for success at Postgraduate Level and to only book a seat if they are committed to diligently following our program. i.e. Attend every lecture, follow the weekly study program (20 hours a week) and attempt every class test. This was the winning approach of a vast majority of our successful students.

Our CTA results during the recent academic years has been consistently above the national average and in each of the last ten years, at least 1 out of the top 10 UNISA CTA students attended our course. (All of these students were part time students, attending our part time CTA Course. In the 2007 academic year 3 out of the top 7 UNISA CTA students attended our CTA programme.)

OUR APPROACH IS UNIQUE AND STRUCTURED AND INCLUDES:

Coverage of the entire syllabus section by section in a comprehensive and easy to understand style. The course material will be covered in the sequence of the four UNISA Saturday tests, and in the sequence of the UNISA study week programme.

Concise, easy to understand summarized notes on topics included in the relevant course syllabus to supplement prescribed material and a superb question bank which consists of a series of carefully chosen questions ranging from basic to difficult including questions from various universities and previous SAICA and IRBA papers.
SUPERB LECTURING which is the corner stone of our success. Each lecture commences with a highlight of important theoretical aspects of a particular section and follows through with a detailed discussion of fully worked examples.

Continuous guidance on exam technique, strategy and approach and strong on-going motivation to encourage the student to work hard and smart to achieve success.

NINE SIMULATED PAPERS to help the student prepare for the four Saturday tests and the final exam in 2011.

Compulsory tests to be written in class which will be marked by our marking team with subsequent review and feedback of marked scripts the following week. In the 2009 academic year students who attempted more than 90% of class tests and attended more than 90% of lectures achieved a pass rate of 72%.
